Tampa to New York City September 7 Thru September 9, 2014We started this trip at Cilantro's Indian Restaurant in Tampa (Our traditional Pre-Trip Dinner). Then on to the friendly skies complete with delays to New York City. Met up with cousins Jackie and Mitchell at El Quijote on 23rd St. to start planning our Rio de Janeiro family reunion for 2015.
A dozen NYC miles and dumplings at the end of the Chinatown rainbow. We walked and we saw action in the parks - junkies having gourmet lunch sardines with crackers and mustard(we didn't take for fear they'd get our cameras) but trust us they sure had a good time doing nothing - AND SO DID WE bumming around the city. We still can't believe all the gentrification taking place here in NYC and even in parts that neither of us discovered till today. Truly amazing to see the blending of cultures and smell the various cuisines as you walk the streets - pizza, curry, oriental and the buttery aroma from a bakery - all on one block. |
Bottoms up and Bon Voyage
A little S&M couldn't hurt (Spain and Morocco that is) and a bit of Indian curry to add some spice.
