Part 2 of our adventure - The Safari
After we returned from the mountain to our Hotel in Moshi we all enjoyed a hot shower which we hadn't had for 6 days the whole time up in the Mountain. Then a couple of Kilimanjaro Beers to celebrate our feat and to celebrate Christmas as it was Christmas Day. Then a good nights sleep in a bed with a mattress. Next morning we transferred from Moshi to Arusha where we stayed at The Outpost Lodge for just 1 night where we would meet our guide and drivers and also meet some new travelers joining us.
After arriving at our Hotel - The Outpost Lodge - we decided to go into town for a juicy Hamburger with all the Trimmings. We heard about this Burger place from fellow travelers and they raved about it - so after eating Mountain food for a week our mouths were watering for some good ole American Juicy Burgers. So Rob checked out his GPS and we got directions - hopped in a Taxi and he took us straight to the Burger place. When we got there we discovered that it was closed for The Boxing Day holiday. An old English holiday but still celebrated - so what did we do went across the street to the Taste of Mexico - Go figure Mexican food in Tanzania Africa. It was actually pretty good - Anyway we headed back to the hotel to meet our guide and drivers and do an orientation of the next part of our journey - The Safari.

The next morning we were off to visit a local village Mta wa Mbu where we camped for the night. On the way we stopped for some souvenirs. But First a short Slideshow video.
We met locals in town - We drank Banana Beer and Banana Wine made by the locals and had a great local Tanzania African lunch. After lunch we visited Lake Manyara Park where we had our first look at African Wildlife.
